There is such a large and continuously growing number of women doing incredible work in our industry that the pages don’t provide enough space to honor each and every one. The group of women in the proceeding pages have given everything they have and more to the marine industry and have accomplished so much. What are some of the biggest lessons you have learned working in the marine industry? It takes a village. I could never have this career without the support of my family and especially my husband, Glen. I travel a lot and I have two boys, Matthew and Daniel 13 and 10 years old. My husband and our family support me being gone with love and understanding. I have learned the lesson that that role is as important as my work. One does not exist without the other. I am thankful for that support more than anything else. We are all in the same boat. Pun intended.
I started out being very competitive and disliking my competitors. As I grew in my career and ultimately moved to different companies I learned that we are all in this together and while we can compete with one another I do not need disrespect or dislike anyone to get ahead. In fact I have gotten much farther in life by being appreciative to everyone no matter what brand they represent.
If you had to choose one memorable achievement in the marine industry, what would it be and why? It’s hard to pinpoint an achievement and take credit for it on my own. Everything I have done in the marine industry has been a team effort. The team has changed and even swung back again, but it is always a group effort. Perhaps one of the biggest accomplishments I have ever been a part of is this past year at Centurion & Supreme Boats. I was a part of one of the most successful water sports events in history, the 2018 Centurion World Wake Surfing Championship. We set out to be so ambitious with the goals of this event and amazingly enough we surpassed them all: 119 competitors, 17 World Titles, 43 Personal Bests, five new model releases, one dealer reveal, 100 boat demos and 20 boat sales with deposits. Amazing!
How do you hope to inspire other women in the marine industry? I hope to be a positive example to everyone, not just women. But women especially tend to be recognized for empowerment through tragedy way more often than empowerment thorough talent or simple positivity. Almost like women have to have something bad happen to them to be heard or to rise up. Women can succeed with positivity and their unique skill set. Every man and women has that in them. I hope to be an example of positive skills that any woman or man could possess to succeed.
What advice do you have for women starting their careers in the marine industry? Enjoy the ride. Stop worrying about the next step and do the work in front of you. That work well done will lead to more... both work and recognition. If you put your head down and do those things that no one else is willing to do and you do it better than anyone could have imagined; you will be remembered, rewarded and you will succeed.

CENTURION BOATS ADDS 2X WORLD CHAMPION CONNOR BURNS TO SURF TEAM

In 2016, Burns went undefeated and won the Amateur World Championships. The following year, he skipped the Outlaw division and went straight to the Pro division where he podiumed numerous times and finished fourth at the Centurion World Wake Surfing Championship presented by GM Marine. In 2018, Burns podiumed at every competition he attended and took the gold medal at the 2018 World Wake Surfing Championship in Ogden Valley, Utah behind the 2019 Centurion Ri257.

CENTURION WINS WSIA INNOVATION AWARD FOR 26-FT WAVE

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO (March 2, 2019) – Last night, Centurion Boats was awarded a Watersports Innovation Award by the Water Sports Industry Association (WSIA) for the Fi25 Sweet Surf Spectrum 26-Foot Wave at the WSIA Summit in Steamboat, Colorado on March 1st.

The WSIA Summit hosts more than 200 attendees and celebrates achievements with awards across the towed water sports industry on both the retail and manufacturer levels. The Watersports Innovation Awards recognizes industry leaders and their products that have push the towed water sports marketplace to new heights over the past year. Products from various facets of the industry were awarded for the year of 2018.

Centurion & Supreme President, Paul Singer, stated, “Our Product Design and Development team was excited to release the Fi25 this model year especially because of the long powerful wave it creates with the Opti-V Hull. It is neat to be able to provide riders around the world a wave that has a “sweet spot” across the entire wave! Surfers can enjoy their ride no matter where they are behind the boat, including more than 26 feet back.”

The Centurion Fi25, introduced in July 2018 for the 2019 model year, creates a Sweet Surf Spectrum with a wave more than 26-feet long. This unique benefit is thanks to a 7-location ballast system that is equally distributed throughout the boat to displace the Fi25’s entire hull at surf speeds. This innovative system allows the boat to ride level from side to side and the equal distribution of ballast front to back eliminates bow rise. Passengers as well as the boat’s driver are almost as happy in the boat as the rider shredding the wave behind.

The surfer benefits from the 7-position ballast layout with a total of 5050 pounds of displacement that weights the entire hull, rather than just the back quarter of the boat. This Centurion feature allows the entire hull to displace more water, which intern creates a wave slightly longer than the running surface of the boat with power from the curl all the way to swim platform. While most wake surf boats have a “sweet spot” Centurion boats and specifically the Fi25 offers a spectrum of push along its entire 26-foot wave. The 2019 Centurion Fi25 provides a Sweet Surf Spectrum with a 26-foot wave.

Amy Mauzy has been nominated by industry peers for her impact and contributions to the marine industry. Boating Industry will highlight Mauzy and her hard work. Centurion Thankful for 59% Increase in Retail Sales, but Preparing for Ultimate Success

Centurion’s disruptive product development and customer experience focused approach is showing indications of success with a 59% increase in domestic retail units sold through November 2018. (Compared to 2017 12 months rolling.) While Centurion Boats is extremely thankful and encouraged by this surge in retail sales, the company believes this increase is simply a small reward foreshadowing bigger victories to come. The 59% increase is confirmation that the difficult steps they have taken to aggressively redesign the entire Centurion boats line, expand the dealer network and share Correct Craft’s dedication to making lives better is the right path. There is still a lot of road left in front of Centurion Boats to realize the brand’s potential, but they have resolved to continue to do the right things to get there.

Robby Maschhaupt Carolina Water Sports & Marine

Robby Maschhaupt Joins Centurion Boats Family to Pass the Handle

We have partnered with Roswell Marine, Carolina Water Sports & Marine, the Water Sports Industry Association (WSIA) and Monster Energy to bring Robby Maschhaupt into the Centurion Boats Family to Pass the Handle (PTH). Maschhaupt hosted more than 750 on the water last year in an effort to spread the stoke of wake surfing. In 2019 he will be sharing the World's best waves, wakes and ride in his 2019 Centurion Ri257. This effort is less about proving Centurion’s perfect ride and all about making lives better. Robby Maschhaupt is a Pass the Handle wake surfing coach. PTH is about getting new people on the water. His main goal is to share the stoke of water sports with others. He does this through a variety of specifically planned events as well as just spending as much time on the water as possible teaching wake surfing.

“My goal as a wake surfing coach when exposing people to water sports for the first time, is to get them surfing and enjoying themselves quickly,” Maschhaupt told us. “What better tool could I have to further this goal, than the World’s best wake surfing boat. An effort the size of Robby’s operation requires a ton of support. The boat is only a part of it. CWS has also partnered with Maschhaupt to help pass the handle on the local level as well as prove Centurion’s claim of the World’s best waves, wakes and ride.

Robby will be executing more than 70 Pass the Handle events out of Peninsula Yacht Club and Holiday Marina in Cornelius, NC with his 2019 Centurion Ri257. He will also be organizing 9 other signature events like Wakes-giving, Wake for Warriors, Wake n Flake and Carolina Watersports Surf Jam. Wake n Flake is a fundraiser for Wake the World. Wake for Warriors is a 3-day event that benefits veteran service men and women. Carolina Watersports Surf Jam is a one-day event where Robby’s Ri257 and 5 other Centurions will pull as many as 280 surfers.

CENTURION & SUPREME HOST ANNUAL DEALER MEETING

MERCED, CA (December 3, 2018) - Centurion & Supreme Boats held their annual Dealer Meeting and Sales School November 11-13. Dealers were invited to the spectacular Horseshoe Bay Resort in Austin, TX to learn about the unforgettable 2019 Centurion and Supreme boat lineup and participate in sales training.

In total there were 51 dealerships, 207 attendees, 13 Brand Ambassadors and four athletes that participated. This was double the attendance of previous year thanks in large part to the addition of more than 30 new dealers and a more than 60% increase in Centurion retail sales year over year. The meeting kicked off with a meet and greet hosted by Extreme Trailers that set the stage for the goals of the meeting: to educate and empower the Centurion & Supreme Boats Dealer Network.

“The 100% increase in attendance at this year’s meeting was impressive and a direct result of our increased brand equity, but what stood out to me the most was just how engaged our dealers were,” shared Paul Singer, Centurion & Supreme Boats President. “The meeting rooms were full for every session and all dealers from new to old to perspective participated in every aspect of the event.” Singer concluded, “You could feel the excitement and passion for these brands.”

The Centurion & Supreme Team hosted classes to educate dealers about each brand and boat model with its 2019 marketing initiatives. Sam Dantzler, from Garbage Composites, presented a speech on how to grow your Centurion & Supreme Boats Dealership. Dealers even had the opportunity to run the 2019 Centurion & Supreme boats on the water.

Dealers, vendors, and the Centurion & Supreme staff strengthened business relationships and developed comradery during the event. Attendees participated in a toy boat building and pool racing competition for a team building challenge hosted by Gatorstep/Canby.

During the last day of the meeting, Centurion & Supreme Boats honored their highest performing dealers at the 2018 Awards Dinner. He also introduced the President and CEO of Correct Craft, Bill Yeargin, to speak on the state of the industry and Correct Craft’s role as one of the most innovative companies.
